Privacy policy
Effective and last updated:
This policy explains how Wall Spaghetti, an independent game studio based in the Netherlands, handles information when you play Yes, My Queen on iPhone, iPad, or Android, visit this website, or contact us. Wall Spaghetti is responsible for the processing described here. For privacy questions and requests, email dz@wallspaghetti.com.
1. Information we handle
Game saves and settings
Your progress, save slots, settings, and analytics preference are stored locally. Our game does not upload save files to a Wall Spaghetti cloud-save service. Your device or platform may include local app data in backups according to your device settings and the platform’s own policies.
Optional gameplay analytics
If you agree to analytics in the game’s privacy screen, the game sends events to our analytics service at analytics.wallspaghetti.com. These can describe runs, battles, pieces and cards, story interactions, progress, and how features are used. Events include a randomly generated session identifier, an event identifier, timestamps, app version, platform, language or locale, and technical information such as memory usage.
Our gameplay session identifier is generated when the analytics service starts; it is not a game-account identifier. We do not ask for your name or email address to play. However, a random identifier does not make all technical data anonymous: hosting and request logs can include IP addresses, request metadata, and timestamps.
Crash and performance diagnostics
The game is made with Unity and has diagnostics enabled. Unity can receive crash reports, error logs, performance information, app and operating-system details, and technical user or installation identifiers. This helps us investigate crashes and improve reliability. Unity’s diagnostics operate separately from our optional gameplay analytics; declining gameplay analytics does not disable all diagnostics.
Purchases
Apple processes purchases on iPhone and iPad; Google processes purchases on Android through Google Play. The game checks verified purchase entitlement on your device to decide whether the full game is available. On Android, it stores a signed purchase receipt locally so that an already verified unlock can work offline, and checks ownership again when connected to Google Play. We do not receive your payment-card number or your Apple or Google Account password, and the game does not send transaction history to a Wall Spaghetti purchase-verification server. The platforms handle their own purchase records under Apple’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.
The Android version uses Unity In-App Purchasing. This SDK can send purchase attempts, results, product and transaction information, signed receipt data, session or installation identifiers, device and operating-system information, app version, language, and country or region information to Unity. Unity uses this information to operate purchasing, measure purchase performance, and diagnose problems. This purchasing telemetry is separate from the optional gameplay analytics described above. The game does not offer a Unity account login, a third-party webshop, or advertising tracking.
Support requests
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message, such as a description of a problem, screenshots, or diagnostic files. Please do not send passwords or payment-card details. If you contact us through Discord or another external service, that service also handles your information under its own policy.
2. Why we use information
We use optional gameplay analytics to understand how the game is played, balance encounters, and improve features. We use diagnostics and operational logs to fix faults, protect our services, and keep the game working. Purchase information supports the full-game unlock, restoration, purchase reporting, and troubleshooting. We use support correspondence to answer requests and resolve problems.
Where EU or UK data-protection law applies, we rely on consent for optional gameplay analytics; performance of our agreement with you for providing the game, unlocks, and requested support; and legitimate interests for proportionate security, fraud prevention, and technical reliability work. We may also retain information when a legal obligation requires it. We do not use this information to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Storage, retention, and security
Local saves and preferences remain on your device until you remove or reset them; device backups may keep additional copies. Deleting the app does not itself delete information already received by our services or providers.
Retention of telemetry, logs, and support correspondence depends on its purpose: investigating faults, assessing game performance, responding to requests, protecting services, and meeting legal obligations. We retain this information while it is needed for those purposes. Provider retention and backup cycles can differ; we do not promise that all records are automatically deleted after a single fixed period. You can request deletion using the contact details below.
Our providers may process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers must use a valid legal mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact us for information relevant to your data.
We use encrypted connections for the game’s telemetry and restrict access to operational systems. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.
5. Your choices and rights
You can decline optional gameplay analytics when the game asks and still play. To change a choice later, withdraw consent, or request access to or deletion of information, email dz@wallspaghetti.com. We can help with the steps available in your version. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of your personal information, restrict processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. We may need limited information to verify a request. Because gameplay telemetry does not contain a name or email address, we may not be able to identify a particular record from an email address alone; we will explain what we can locate and what further information is needed.
You can complain to your local data-protection authority. In the Netherlands, this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. We do not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
6. Children
The game is intended for a general audience subject to its store age rating, and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information that should not have been collected, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Where local law requires a parent’s permission for optional analytics, that permission is required before opting in.
7. This website and external links
This website is hosted by Vercel and loads fonts from Google Fonts. Delivering pages and fonts involves processing network information such as your IP address, browser information, requested resources, and request times. See Vercel’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy. This policy page does not add advertising trackers or a gameplay-analytics script.
Links to Steam, Discord, Apple, Google, and other services take you to services with their own privacy practices.
8. Changes and contact
We will update the date at the top when this policy changes and provide additional notice when required. For questions or requests about this policy, contact Wall Spaghetti at dz@wallspaghetti.com.
